Bradenton Redskins Fan Club Newsletter Volume 14, Number 15In front of announced crowd of 88,221 the Redskins lost their 11th game to their divisional rivals the Dallas Cowboys, 17-0. Not only did the Redskins not score a point for the first time this season, but also are winless in NFC East divisional play (0-6). It has been 15 years since the Redskins have not won at least one game against an NFC East team. In those six losses Washington was outscored, 146-93. Since the AFL-NFL merger, the Redskins have been winless in the division only twice. Also the last time the Redskins were shut out was in October 2005 and the last scoreless game at home was December 2003, and it was against the Cowboys. In two losses to the Cowboys this season, the Redskins have had only two field goals and ran one play inside the 20-yard line. "Tonight was very frustrating," Coach Zorn said. "We could not put a drive together. The frustrating thing was their front four beat us, and we couldn't mount any consistency with our offense, and that was the big story for us.... The hardest thing for me is to watch our team lose to that team because of the division rivalry and too many blue jerseys having a good time in our stadium." Overall, Dallas had 393 total yards. The Redskins finished with 218. Campbell threw 24 for 39 for 199 yards with one interception, and Tony Romo threw 25 of 38 passes for 286 yards with one touchdown pass and an interception. Former Redskins kicker Shaun Suisham returned to FedEx Field since being released Dec. 8. The Cowboys signed Suisham on Dec. 21, and he made a 23-yard field goal to give the Cowboys a 17-0 lead with 7 minutes 44 seconds left to play in the game. About the only statistic the Redskins can take away is that the defense is ranked ninth overall through Week 15. The 10-5 Cowboys will now meet the 11-4 Eagles for the NFC East title. Zorn's tenure likely has one game remaining, and speculation has it that the Redskins will hire Mike Shanahan. Despite all the speculation about his job Coach Zorn is looking forward: "We have to look past this now, and we still have one game. I want to get to five wins. It seems frivolous, doesn't it? But we're going to prepare like we always have."
