For those of us who experienced the exhilarating Super Bowl years in D.C., we can only wish for "one more time!" For fans now that were too young then and only have the films, stories and passion passed on by family and friends, I'm sure they feel let down and want to experience the bragging rights to being “Champions". In an area filled with fans of the Packers, Steelers, Bears and oh yes, those "Bucs" we feel a strong bond to our Club of die hard, bleed burgundy and gold fans who WILL rally once again NEXT year to sing "Hail" -- "Hail to OUR team" . Redskin players and staff members flying back to D.C. from Seattle surely had different thoughts than on the trip to Seattle. Many of them will not put on the burgundy and gold uniform again, coaching changes, staff changes -- all in an effort to find the winning combination once again. AND WE WILL, so keep the faith Redskin fans. Circle opening game 2008 on your calendar and practice all summer singing louder and prouder than ever, "Hail To The Redskins".

Continued thanks to those of you remembering to donate items for our weekly raffle. One last raffle coming up for the season. During the summer, keep your eyes open for great raffle items to kick things off next season, particularly if you have an opportunity to travel to the DC area where these items are much more plentiful.

The Bradenton Redskin Fan Club will host a season ending buffet during the NFC Championship game. At this time, I expect that game to be Saturday or Sunday, January 19th or 20th. The exact date and time are to be announced. Keep an eye on this website for all particulars and please plan on being with us.     GO SKINS ---- HTTR

Editor’s Note: Despite the loss Saturday, at least the Skins made the playoffs while 10 other NFC teams sat at home. It was the first time in my memory that three teams from the same division (Cowboys, Giants, and Redskins) went to the playoffs. The NFC Championship Game Party mentioned above will be the last function of the club until next season. As usual, all of the food, draft beer, sodas and ice tea will be paid for by the club.

Our President, Bobbe Reynolds, has done an outstanding job this year in organizing all our events and for providing a lot of extras such as the table favors, burgundy and gold beads, Redskins DVD’s etc. Please let her know how much you appreciate her efforts and maybe we can talk her into serving yet another year.

Others who have contributed to the Club’s continuing success include Treasurer Bea Daly, Brendan Egan, our newsletter correspondent and Trivia organizer, Eddie Kim, who developed and maintains our Web site (redskinsfanclub.com), Bonnie Reynolds who helps out with raffle sales and of course Gary Reynolds who does a lot of Bobbe’s “dirty work.” All of us are looking forward to an even more exciting 2008 season, perhaps a Division Championship.
